Privacy Policy & Personal Data Protection

Who we are

VOTANIKOS is an entertainment venue at 72–74 Iera Odos & Sp. Patsi, Athens.
www.votanikos.gr is the only website relating to its activity. VOTANIKOS acts as
Data Controller under GDPR (EU) 2016/679 and Greek Law 4624/2019.

What we collect

Through the online reservation form we collect your name, contact details
(phone and email), your preferred reservation dates and the number of guests.
For corporate guests we may additionally process a VAT number for invoicing, and
an identity document number where required by law to verify age for the lawful
service of alcohol.

Why we collect it

Solely to provide the services of the venue and to process your reservation,
on the legal bases of Articles 6 and 7 GDPR. Your data is not made available to
any third party for any other purpose, other than to fulfil legal obligations or
following an explicit order from judicial, police or public authorities.

How long we keep it

Until the purpose is fulfilled, and in any case no longer than five years, in
line with the limitation period for claims. CCTV footage is retained for no
longer than one year.

CCTV

The venue operates video surveillance for the safety of the premises and its
guests, on the basis of Article 6 GDPR. Notices are displayed before you enter
any monitored area, in accordance with the guidance of the Hellenic Data
Protection Authority. The system is not used for identifying individuals or for
any form of profiling.

Cookies and automatically collected data

When you visit the website, certain information is collected automatically by
your browser, such as IP address, location, device settings and operating system,
browsing activity and referring URL, and data gathered through cookies. A consent
banner appears on the site where you can choose which categories you accept.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access and be informed about your personal
data, to have it corrected, to object to processing, to have it erased, and to
request restriction of processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact info@votanikos.gr with the subject
«Personal Data Request». If your request is not satisfied, you may
also address the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
